The Faithful Spy by Alex Berenson is a very good spy novel. I love to read spy novels they are the most interesting and exciting. This book was especially intense. The book is about a CIA agent named John Wells. He went undercover into Al Qaeda. They believe him to be a dedicated terrorist. John Wells realized that something big was going to happen but he didn’t say anything. That big something was 9/11. Shortly after the invasion John is sent on to United States to wait for further orders. He goes to the states as told but the CIA detains him because they believe he has been turned. He has to break out of custody which means he’s on his own. When he gets his orders from Al Qaeda he has stop a deadly biological attack without any help from any kind of law enforcement. I really liked this book. Every second of it is entertaining and heart-pounding. Once you pick it up you can’t put it down. This is the first book in a series Alex Berenson has created about John Wells. I know that the others will be just as good if not better. I definitely recommend this book and the author.
